Foam gutter guards

The gutter end caps will come in handy once you finish installing the main gutter in such a way that water drains in the direction you want it to. The purpose of the gutter end caps is to stop water from pouring through the gutter ends and on the ground, but to be redirected towards the downspouts that lead the water in a desired location.

Now let’s start with the first cap.

Take it and place it inside the gutter end so it fits properly. Now take a drill and make a 1/8 inch hole through the spot where the end cap and the gutter come together. Then fix the cap in place using a metal screw by putting it inside the hole.

Drill the end caps a few more times so you can rivet them together. Now completely fix the end caps to the gutter by riveting it inside the drilled holes. As soon as you finish riveting the end cap you can remove the metal screw you used to secure the cap initially and use the rivet gun on the remaining hole as well.

You will need to seal the inside of the gutter end caps with silicone caulk to prevent water from leaking through there.
