Wallboard installation

There are many reasons why you should want to remove a wallboard. Either you are making a simple repair or you are refurbishing completely the house. If you want to make sure you do not encounter any issues after removing the wallboard you should follow the steps below.

  1. Gain full access to the wallboard by undertaking the work that is necessary. After the inspection you will realize how the wall is fixed in place. You may find it necessary to have a saw because you may have to remove the cover from the wallboard.
  2. Usually wall boards are attached using screws and bolts and you should determine what the necessary tools to remove them are. Usually it is sufficient to have a screwdriver because screws are most often used. Work your way up to the top screws starting with the lower ones.
  3. The wallboard can also have been attached with glue in which case you will need to pry it away. You can start with a screwdriver and a crowbar to finish the job. You should move the board away with the tools long enough to be able to take it off with your hands.
