What to write in a wedding card ?

Once you find a nice looking wedding card you will have to write something in it. The first thing you need to think about is the relationship with the spouses. Write a personal message showing them what marriage and love mean to you.

Wish the groom and bride the best whishes with rods like: “May your marriage be full of love,” “We wish you a lifetime of love together” or “May you have as many years of happy marriage as we have had.”

Another thing to relate the card with is memories involving you and the spouses. This is a great way to reconnect you and the couple in a happy manner.

If you are a member of the family of the groom or bride, make sure to welcome the new member to the family. Say things like “We are just so excited to have (the bride) as our new cousin,” or “We welcome (the groom) to the family and are so happy to have another grandson.”  This way you will make the bride or groom more comfortable with the new relatives.

If you want to write a wedding card but you cannot attend the wedding, make sure to include this in the message. Write something like “We are so sorry that we could not attend, but we were out of town for the weekend” or “We so wish we could have joined you for the wedding.” If you will attend the wedding, include this in the message also by saying “We are so excited to join you on your wedding day.”
