Installing a satellite dish
It is not a difficult job installing a satellite dish if you have regular knowledge about wiring and construction. You can find instructions about this in the article below.
First of all you have to determine the location of the satellite dish.
In order to find the dish pointing coordinates you will have to use the receiver. Connect it to the TV and you will see the coordinates on the screen. After you connect the wires properly you will have to turn the receiver on channel 3 or 4 from behind it. The equivalent of these on the TV is channel 65 and channel 34.
On the on-screen menu you will find the azimuth and the elevation, the two coordinates that you need to adjust the position of the dish. You will have to make sure there are no obstructions in the 30-60 degree arc.
Now it is time to locate a ground point to install the satellite dish. Keep in mind that it is better to choose a location close to the house because there is where the cable comes in from. Make an estimate of the required cable you need after you choose the ground. The first thing to install is the mast because the satellite dish will mount on this. Set the azimuth and the elevation and turn on the receiver to test the signal. Enjoy.
